I have an old root canal that wasn't done right, and my dentist wants to redo it. I’ve read they can cause infection and wonder if I should just extract it and get an implant. What’s your opinion on root canals and what to do if someone already has them?

Avoid root canals. The biological dentists state that they always get chronic, sub-clinical infections. It is probably best to consult with a biological dentist, and that will probably mean extracting that foci of infection, but get professional dental advice. Make CERTAIN that you oil pull for 30 days in a row during this process.
