I'm currently taking the antiviral Acyclovir to control genital herpes. I intend to stop taking this and allow the GT5's antiviral component to calm down the need for medication. At what phase would you recommend stopping the medication?

It's best to ask your doctor as I cannot counsel on the crossover. As you start taking products containing Pau D'Arco (Tai Ra Chi, ATAK, or T-VIVI) you should be able to begin titrating the Acyclovir within a week. Your doctor will know how to best titrate.
