I find that clinically, chronic sinus issues can clear up or improve from the GT5 program of GI Microbiome Rejuvenation and improved diet. Often a detox protocol follows the GT5 program to help. Here's how— the sinuses can act like a "French Drain" in that they become a filtration system (i.e. - "doctrine of signatures"— the sinuses are like underground strata and caverns that filter water). So if the blood has debris, it can be shunted for exit via the sinuses. When this occurs, the sinuses are toxic and hyperactive to airborne elements and also to leaky gut and allergen responses. So they respond with mucous and swelling, that then leads to bacterial proliferations, which become recurrent sinus infections, and/or susceptibility to rhinovirus (rhino being "nose" and not from a rhinoceros;) which becomes a "cold in the nose." So why is the blood carrying the toxins around? Because the liver is not handling them and thus the message is for a detox to follow the GT5 Microbiome Rejuvenation/Digestion Improvement program.
