GERD is often too little stomach acid and too much bad acid.  So HCL is often very helpful, and the amount in the enzymes you are taking with food should actually help your symptoms from the first time taking them. You can also try 2 tsp. of raw apple cider vinegar in 12 oz. of water in the morning daily (if you are not on plan F). Try it for 3 days and if it helps, continue.
