Die-Off: Symptoms, Detox, Relief & Progression
- I did very well on Phase 1 and 2 of Plan S, but am having much discomfort (bloating) after dinner on Phase 3. I've stayed true to the diet and haven't introduced any new foods. What to do?
- Any suggestions for hair loss (plan F, Hashimotos)?
- What are some things we can eat at bedtime if we either have trouble sleeping or are trying to gain weight?
- Are we looking for a particular sign before we switch from Phase 2 to Phase 3? Or do we just do that first phase until all supplements are taken and assume we've done enough?
- My husband is on Plan P and is 1.5 weeks into the pathogen purge. He has a sore throat and a seemingly bad head cold that came about abruptly. Does this illness mark the purging or is he compromised to external viruses?
- For those of us who are experiencing moderate to severe die-off reactions, would you suggest holding off on our supplements until these reactions subside?
- I'm on plan S. I've been experiencing different issues— skin rash on my chest, very itchy, sweat smells like ammonia, constant lower back pain (like kidney pain), and I had my period 2 weeks ago, but I'm already spotting. Are all these just detox signs?
- I've completed the progam, and seeing improvement, but am still "failing" my spit test? What to do next?
- I did my first coffee enema in the AM and had waves of stomach pain most of the day. Is that normal?
- I am plan F, but also have SIBO. I have been having very severe reactions while on the bone broth cleanse. Can you please comment?
- I'm starting to think about what will be next after we finish the reseeding phase of this program. How would you know if the pathogen purge worked and the reseeding took? Would there be a case for doing more pathogen purges?
- My skin and scalp have started itching like crazy and now I've also lost my voice, have a mucousy cough, and yellow snot. What to do?
- How do you know when to start adding foods back in after the reseeding phase, and which foods to add?
- Is my magnesium supplement the cause of all my reactions, or is it the detox, or is it both!?
- I think I have pre-symptoms of Shingles (i.e. - low back pain, mild headache, fatigue). Could my body be purging the varicella-zoster virus that infested itself when I had Chicken Pox? Should I back off the supplements or power through?
- After completing the program, my digestion is much improved, but I still have an annoying symptom of itchy ear canals. Would you advise using Formula SF722 at this point as I continue to follow the diet, taking Pure Probiotic, Pau d'Arco tea, etc.?

- I probably ate something wrong last night. This morning I woke up with diarrhea and vomiting. I didn't eat anything for the whole morning, and I'm still throwing up yellow colored liquid. What to do now?
- How will you know if you are ready for fermented foods on Plan F and in general?
- I am using triphala, flax seed oil, coconut oil, clean-eating, bone broth, hot water all day long, lemon/lime hot water, and castor oil packs, and I’m now pooping 2-3 times daily. I don’t feel comfortable doing colonics or enemas. Is it necessary?
