- Are black/brown rice, green mung beans, black-eyed peas, black beans, adzuki beans acceptable?
- Resistant starch— this is okay for Plan F/candida because you don't get the blood sugar spike? Does this mean we can have white potatoes now? Do green peas also need to be boiled and cooled before eating?
- I am not vegetarian, but I am really concerned about losing weight. How do we keep our weight up with less carbs?
- If I have SIBO or FODMAPS, can you give me a map of what foods might be better or worse for me? Can we cook with garlic and onion? Any suggestions for herbs to put in broth?
- What can I eat for carbs to feed thyroid and adrenals when I bloat on 1/2 cup brown rice. My temperature is 96.4. How can I get my temperature up?
- With the tea, and so many of the other recipes, can we use dried herbs instead of fresh? I have a lot of organic dried herbs that I can throw in my broth, or make Turmeric Ginger Lemonade, etc. and don't always have access to fresh herbs.
- Can I have white potatoes if I’m not bothered or allergic to nightshades? Sweet potatoes (which I dislike) aren't allowed on SCD but are allowed here, so why not white potatoes?
- Is it okay to use chia seed during the pathogen purge? I’ve been using 1 Tbsp. in a smoothie most days to help keep me regular.
- Will the program work for me if I can't eat a lot of the recommended foods? I'm hypoglycemic and have been eating a piece of meat with a piece of fruit for snacks. Is that a bad combo? Will taking the supplements help me if I can't change my diet much?
- I’m still in the pathogen purge stage. I’m just wondering when to try out the foods I’ve previously had sensitivities to. Also, are wheat and gluten going to be a permanent "no-no"? I have Hashimoto's and previously a wheat, dairy, and egg sensitivity.
- I’m surprised Stevia is allowed as it can cause diarrhea in people with compromised GI issues like me. Can you talk more about this?
- I have finished the reseeding phase - plan F, but still have what feels like mucus in the back of my throat. I cannot seem to get it to drain or go away. Is this a sign of ongoing yeast/fungus? What do you suggest?
- I have major concerns about eating liver, because I can’t imagine it not containing toxins. Can you speak more about this?
- Should I really eliminate all the foods that come back as moderates and highs on my intolerance test? Since I don’t get digestive distress, how will I know, when I add them back in, if they are having an adverse effect?
- We use plantains a lot and sometimes combine them with fruits (i.e. – apples, bananas). Is that okay? Also, is it okay to combine pumpkin and apple? Can you provide more clarity about food combining, so we can troubleshoot future situations on our own?
- Other candida programs do not allow cashews, but you do. Can you explain why?
